AEGON CHAMPIONSHIPS

This year signals the start of a new era as AEGON, the lead partner of The Lawn Tennis Association are the title sponsor of the AEGON Championships.

AEGON Championships (formerly The Artois Championships) at The Queen's Club London will take place during the 8th- 14th June 2009.

At last year's Championship, French Open Champion Rafael Nadal beat Novak Djokovic 7-6 (8-6) 7-5 in a thrilling final to claim his first grass court title in front of a packed Centre Court. With this victory Nadal joins the likes of McEnroe, Becker, Sampras and Roddick on The Queen's Club roll of honour. Nadal then went on win the men's title at Wimbledon in arguably the greatest final of all time.

AEGON will be involved in all aspects of the sport and will be the title sponsor to the international grass courts events including the AEGON International (Devonshire Park, Eastbourne), and the AEGON Classic (Priory Club, Edgbaston).
